What We Do
Knowledge is Light Islamic School is focus on a range of academic subject with the basis being Islamic studies. We provide the following Community Outreach Programs:
Public health

Hygiene: Enforcement of cleanliness and healthy practices necessary for the defense against hazardous agents, illness and disease.

Nutrition: Promotion of a balanced diet, as a means of disease prevention

Sex Education: Health based instruction relating to Human Sexuality, with emphasis on knowledge of reproductive health, sexual responsibility, and preventative care.

Child Safety: Protection of our most precious resource- our children, through instruction of relevant life skills, identification of risks, knowledge of active defense, and the importance of making assertive and informed decisions in case of an emergency.
Literacy

Reading Programs: Intervention based lessons used to promote and develop one's independent ability to read, write, comprehend and communicate.

Computer Literacy: Development of technological abilities to ensure efficient computer and electronic device usage.

Family: Support based interventions provided for individuals and family systems in need of therapy as a result of abuse, addiction, disorders and other challenges.

Marriage: Couples-specific therapy for the purpose of conflict resolution and inter-relationship building

Depression/Anxiety: Mental Health support for individuals diagnosed with psychological and emotional conditions due to experienced crisis and trauma.
